Miss South Africa Beauty Pageant: The 5 Nigerian Designers That Styled The Host Bonang Matheba

Bonang Matheba, the South African star, hosted the Miss South Africa 2024 Beauty Pageant. While she guided effortlessly the event, it was her stunning dresses that caught everyone’s eye online.

For her opening look, she wore a dress by Veekee James, adorned with green and blue bead details and a blue fishtail. The design highlighted her bust and created an hourglass figure, with the bottom resembling a mermaid. Paired with matching emerald jewelry, the entire outfit evoked the image of a person emerging from a fish.

For her second outfit, she wore a stunning fringe gold dress styled by Somo By Somo, a trendy Nigerian designer. The dress featured beads and flowing fringe tassels along her legs and arms, complemented by a halo-like headpiece that evoked the look of Egyptian Queen Nefertiti.

For her third look, Sheye Oladejo styled her in a regal gold gown with a flowing train, adorned with bold flowers crafted from the same fabric, making her look like a queen.

For her fourth look, Bonang was styled by This is Mazelle in a striking silver dress. It featured metallic pieces cut into oval shapes and stitched together to give a shimmering silver finish.

For her final look of the night, she wore a beaded dress with butterfly motifs, designed by Emage by Bukola. The designer drew inspiration from “whispers of the wind and the elegance of butterflies.”
